24 August 2011 the moonbeams/neat beats/phen swan California tour was a success! Big news from Hop Skip Jump: h!5--Cosmic Surgery by Neat Beats drops on September 1! It is the first LP released on our label and it is incredible! There will be a record release party at the Tin Can in San Diego followed by the LP being sold through this website. Let me just say that it sounds incredible. A huge thank you to the bands involved. It means so much to me to help release such talented artists. 6 January 2011 Happy New Year to the followers of Hop Skip Jump. We have two things to note: 1. Moonbeams will be playing at the Tin Can in Banker's Hill (San Diego) on Friday, Jan. 14. 2. Several h! artists will be playing an acoustic/low volume show on Saturday, Jan. 15. We will release h!2 at this show. A various artists cassette featuring many of the bands playing this show as well as others. The complete line-up includes: San Diego bands: 1. Gaze Shoe (K. Hop Skip Jump release h!3 is going to be a split 7" record limited to 25 copies, featuring Neat Beats and Primitive Noyes. Both of these bands are from San Diego and are among the most interesting and talented bands from that area. Look for this release in Spring 2011. Also, h!2 will be a various artists cassette made up of bands from San Francisco and San Diego. There will be a total of 9 artists, all guaranteed to blow your mind.
